Satisfied customer

MAN SE has chosen to hold its annual general meeting at ICM for the twelfth time this year. The global industrial player in transport-related engineering was one of the first to hold its AGM at the newly opened congress centre in 1999 – and went on to become a regular customer. MAN cites a wide range of reasons for continuing to return to ICM over the last twelve years.

Fast forward to February 2010 and preparations for the MAN AGM are in full swing. The company expects to welcome up to 2,500 shareholders at ICM on 1 April. A sizeable event for which everything – from infrastructure right through to service – must be firmly in place.

Ideal backdrop
MAN has a worldwide headcount of 49,500 employees and achieved revenue of 12 billion euros in 2009. Its core values are reliability, innovation, dynamic strength and openness. As a company representative explains, deciding to use ICM also means deciding in favour of a setting that fits the identity of MAN SE. Which confirms that, with its impressive architecture and modern equipment, ICM not only lives up to MAN’s expectations but also offers maximum flexibility in terms of layout. Alongside the main meeting zone, which includes the AGM hall, appropriate presentation and exhibition facilities plus catering areas, MAN also requires ample space for registration, back-office and press functions.

Support by highly professional teams is also a top priority. AGM organisers at MAN SE underline that it is particularly important that ICM employees are so familiar with the legal framework that accompanies an AGM.

Top technology
Another point in favour of ICM is the reliable, state-of-the-art technology on site. The excellent standard facilities make it simple to integrate additional equipment, while easily fulfilling legal requirements such as sound transmission outside the meeting room. Staff at MAN also tell us they particularly value ICM’s sensitive approach to security – from ID checks to personal protection.

Last but not least, ICM’s proximity to the airport, easy motorway access, ample parking and neighbouring underground station constitute significant benefits for MAN. Indeed, the entrance ticket for the AGM on 1 April even includes free travel with Munich’s public transport company MVV.

AGM season 2010
Thanks to its outstanding infrastructure and strong focus on service, ICM is also the preferred AGM venue for a whole string of leading German companies in addition to MAN. At the start of February, for instance, chip manufacturer Infineon invited its shareholders to ICM, Linde and Wacker Chemie follow in May, before BayWa AG brings the first half’s AGM procession to a close in June.
