Spotlight on Service

Happy customers will always come back for more. That is why, at ICM, we do our utmost at each single event to ensure our customers are happy with every aspect of our service.

With this aim in mind, our friendly and professional team of experienced project managers and technicians works hard to accommodate customer requests as flexibly as possible from the initial planning phase right through to the day of the event – even at short notice.

ICM’s ongoing investments in infrastructure and technology are also designed to ensure our customers continue long term to benefit from the highest service, quality, safety and security standards. Our efforts in this area include procuring new conference furniture, for instance, and equipping our halls and foyer with additional electrical connections to maximise flexibility in designing and constructing trade fair installations. These investments result in tangible added value for trade fair and congress organisers through cost transparency.

A leading-edge inventory management system has also enabled us to define all our technical processes more precisely, while significantly optimising equipment management for events. Again, this is an innovation that directly benefits our customers, since it helps reduce response times if requirements change at short notice.

Seal of success
These improvements are flanked by Messe München GmbH and ICM’s comprehensive service and quality campaign, which involves a rigorous audit process currently underway for all our catering, cleaning and security partners. The aim here is to gain the DEKRA seal of approval to confirm the quality of existing services, and identify optimisation potential to meet evolving customer needs.

Sustainable standards
A strong focus on sustainability rounds off ICM’s service philosophy. Munich sets high environmental standards as a trade fair and congress location, allowing our customers to design and implement their events in an ecologically sustainable fashion. Examples here include the use of energy-saving technologies or Messe München’s sophisticated waste management systems, which earned the company an award from UFI – The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry – just this April.

We rise to the constant challenge of retaining our successful market position by applying the highest standards of quality and service, hand in hand with both ICM’s current outstanding infrastructure and wide-ranging investments to boost our innovative standing. After all, the most important – and, ultimately, deciding – test of all our efforts is the satisfaction and praise of our customers.

Best regards,
Gerhard Gerritzen

Knowledge is the only resource that increases by being shared. But how can we manage our knowledge productively? What changes should we make to our organisational structures? And what form do congresses take in today’s knowledge-based economy?
